Tin-aw seeks to foster art that engages, surprises, and provokes. From 2008 when it opened a space in Makati, the country's central business district, Tin-aw has mounted more than 120 local and international exhibitions as well as collaborations with museums, institutions and other art organizations.
From 2008, Tin-aw Art Gallery opened as an art space located at the center of Makati, the Philippines' leading financial district. It is a venue for the exhibition of contemporary works by Filipino and Asian artists. Beginning January 2020, Tin-aw adopted a mobile art projects model and now focuses on art management and joint exhibitions.
The word Tin-aw means clear in the Filipino vernacular Ilonggo.
